About This Product
Mysore sandalwood (Santalum album) from Karnataka is universally recognized as the finest sandalwood in the world. Used for over 4,000 years in Vedic rituals, Ayurveda, and sacred ceremonies, pure Mysore sandalwood attar offers a warm, creamy, milky fragrance that is simultaneously soothing, sacred, and deeply resonant. A cornerstone of Vaishnava deity worship — Srila Prabhupada specifically recommended sandalwood as among the finest offerings to the Lord.
How to Use
For Deity Worship: Apply generously to your fingertips or use a clean soft cotton swab. Gently massage the deity's full body, avoiding painted areas, before bathing. A small amount may also be applied to the deity's flower garlands. For Personal Use: Apply a few drops to your pulse points — wrists, behind ears, and neck. May also be used lightly in the hair or a small amount on clothing. As a pure anhydrous oil, it is completely free from alcohol and synthetic preservatives, and will last throughout the day.
